D55, referred to as the Enigma Code by intelligence agencies, remains a complex enigma to this day. This role was to encode German military communications during World War II, and its deviousness made it a formidable challenge for Allied forces. In spite of its complexity, D55 was ultimately cracked by brilliant mathematicians and codebreakers.
